Abstract

Background. The study of the consumption of addictive goods (alcohol and alcohol-containing products, tobacco products, energy drinks, drugs, gambling, mobile applications) remains a relevant area of addictology. The level of consumption of addictive goods is directly related to the level of personal income. In Russia, the total monetary income of the population includes wages of employees, income from business activities, social benefits, income from property, investment income and other receipts. Objective: to determine the relationship between the dynamics of persons with mental disorders and (or) behavioral disorders associated with the use of psychoactive substances undergoing dispensary observation and the monetary income of the population of Siberia and the Far East over a 20-year period (1999-2019). Materials and Methods. Dynamic series of patients with alcoholism registered by drug treatment institutions (morbidity, sickness rate). The development included administrative-territorial entities of Siberia and the Far East: the Tomsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tyumen and Novosibirsk Regions, Trans-Baikal, Krasnoyarsk and Altai Territories, the Republic of Saha (Yakutia), the Republic of Tyva. Alignment of time series was performed to determine the main characteristics of the trend in the dynamics of registered patients with alcohol dependence syndrome. Results. The growth of population income is closely related to the reduction in the number of alcoholics registered in drug treatment institutions in the region, and is characterized by an inverse correlation with morbidity and sickness rate. In areas of type A, the indicators of primary and cumulative sickness rate decrease congruently according to a parabolic (polynomial) trend shape. In territories of type B, primary sickness rate indicators decrease according to a parabolic (polynomial) trend form, and morbidity (cumulative sickness rate) decreases linearly, while the income level of the population increases linearly and is closely negatively related to a reduction in intensive indicators of alcoholism.
